The town of Erice

Province Trapani

Located high on Monte San Giuliano hill, with beautiful view on Trapani, sea and salterns. In ancient times the town was offered to goddess Aphrodite, in Middle Ages Normans destroyed the antique temples and build the stone town we can see today. It used to be the capital of the region, today the population is barely 200 people. Erice delights with its charming cafés and little shops offering local crafts. It’s a stunning place which you necessarily need to see while visiting Sicily.
